  1. 1

Wash 150g of rice until the water runs clear, then soak it in water until ready to cook.

  2. 2

In a small bowl, combine 1 tbsp mirin, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp sugar, 1 dash dashi powder, 1 dash black pepper, and 1 dash Ajinomoto. Mix well to create the seasoning base.

  3. 3

Drain the rice and add it to the rice cooker pot along with 220ml water and the seasoning base. Mix well.

  4. 4

Layer 80g of canned corned beef, 100g of wedged onion, and 40g of corn on top of the rice. Place 10g of butter on top as well.

💡 Never mix the ingredients with the rice; place them on top to prevent undercooking.

  5. 5

Set the pot in the rice cooker and cook on regular white rice mode or the mixed rice mode.

  6. 6

Once cooked, mix the rice well. Sprinkle with extra black pepper to taste and serve.

Tips

  • If using ground beef instead of corned beef, increase the seasonings slightly.
  • To prevent undercooking, ensure the total amount of ingredients does not exceed half the capacity of the pot.
  • The ingredients should be placed on top of the rice rather than mixed in to ensure everything cooks properly.
