- 1
In a bowl, mix the chicken thigh fillet with salt, sugar, chicken powder, Worcestershire sauce, dried oregano, and cornstarch. Let it marinate.
💡 Cornstarch helps keep the chicken juicy even after it cools.
- 2
Heat a little oil in a pan over high heat. Sear the chicken until both sides are browned and fragrant. Remove the chicken and set aside.
💡 The chicken does not need to be fully cooked at this stage.
🔥 high heat → sear
- 3
In the same pan, add the minced garlic and unsalted butter. Stir-fry until fragrant but not browned.
💡 If using mushrooms, stir-fry them with the garlic at the beginning.
- 4
Add the milk and cream to the pan, then lower the heat. Slice the seared chicken into bite-sized pieces and add them back into the pan.
💡 It is fine if the chicken is not fully cooked yet; it will finish in the sauce.
- 5
Add the horenso, pepper, and salt. Cook briefly until the sauce is absorbed and the chicken is cooked through.
💡 If the dish is too savory, add more milk. If it is too bland, add more seasonings.
- 6
Serve the creamy garlic chicken with white rice.
💡 Can also be served with spaghetti, mashed potato, or french fries.
Tips
- Cornstarch prevents the chicken from drying out, making it ideal for lunchboxes.
- If you don't have Worcestershire sauce, use soy sauce.
- If you don't have oregano, use Cajun seasoning, thyme, or rosemary.
- If using mushrooms, stir-fry them with the garlic at the start.
- If the sauce is too savory, add more milk; if too bland, add more seasonings.
