- 1
In a bowl, combine the beef, olive oil, oyster sauce, maggi seasoning or soy sauce, minced garlic, sugar, and black pepper. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
💡 Overnight marination yields best results.
⏱ 30 minutes
- 2
While marinating, prep the bell peppers and yellow onion into bite-size pieces.
💡 Cut the onion into quarters and then halve the larger pieces.
- 3
For the garlic noodles, melt one stick of unsalted butter in a pan. Add garlic and cook for a couple of minutes until fragrant.
💡 The garlic can be left chunky.
- 4
Add brown sugar, oyster sauce, fish sauce, soy sauce, chicken bouillon, black pepper, and a little dark soy sauce to the pan. Stir in the cooked spaghetti noodles and top with a handful of chopped green onions.
💡 Use Asian-style chicken bouillon for the best flavor.
- 5
Heat oil in a chef pan on high heat. Add the beef in a single layer and sear untouched for 2 minutes. Shake the pan to flip and sear the other side for another 2 minutes. Remove beef and set aside.
💡 If cooking a lot, do this in two batches to prevent steaming instead of searing.
🔥 high heat → sear⏱ 2 minutes
- 6
In the same pan, add the bell peppers and onions. Cook until softened, allowing them to char slightly.
💡 Leave veggies untouched for a few minutes to get nice char marks.
- 7
Add the beef back into the pan with 2 tbsp of butter. Turn off the heat and let the residual heat melt the butter to coat everything. Serve with the garlic noodles.
💡 Do not skip the butter; the residual heat will melt it perfectly.
